DWC Book and Article Publications

  1. Joanne Belknap published the third edition of her book, “The Invisible Woman: Gender, Crime and Justice” in July (with a 2007 publication date). This edition includes more information from a global perspective and women with disabilities along with separate chapters on women working in prison and jails, policing and the courts.


  2. Jody Miller recently published two articles. She published “Gender, Race, and Urban Policing: the Experience of African American Youths” in Gender and Society 20: 531-552 with Rod K. Brunson and “Feminist Theories of Crime” in Taking Stock: The Status of Criminological Theory edited by Francis T. Cullen, John Wright and Kristie Blevins (part of the Advances in Criminological Theory 15: 217-250, series edited by Freda Adler and William Laufer) with Christopher W. Mullins.
