Hecht House
Hecht House is located on the east side of campus at 634 West Call Street ( view map / directions ). It houses Administrative Services offices, Student Services offices, faculty offices, a graduate room and computer lab, the Czajkoski Conference Room and Library, and the Hecht House garden.

Technology Enhanced Computer Classroom
Located on the first floor of Hecht House, the technology enhanced computer classroom is used for undergraduate and graduate classes. The system features state-of-the-art laptop computers networked to a server for student and instructor use. A central management touch screen controls a motorized projector, wall mounted speakers, and an integrated LCD projector system. Along with the fully loaded PC-based hardware, the system includes VHS and DVD players to support any of the instructor's multimedia requirements.

The College maintains a graduate computer lab where students have the ability to conduct Internet-based research, work on academic projects, and perform statistical analyses and modeling. The College also supports many criminal justice databases. Training in the latest technical computer programs is offered to graduate students and in some undergraduate courses that require advanced statistics. The Graduate Computer Lab is located on the first floor of the Hecht House.

The College also provides graduate students with a work area where they can assist undergraduate students and work on their own research and projects. Located on the first floor, this area has a large conference table for meetings, storage lockers for graduate students, individual work carrels, and a lounge area for discussion and gathering. There are also three small offices that are assigned to teaching assistants on a semester-by-semester basis. This room provides graduate students with a place in the Hecht House to share ideas and assist students.

The conference room at the Hecht House is named for Gene Czajkoski, the founding dean of the School of Criminology. His collection of criminology and criminal justice books and journals were donated to the College by his widow, Rosalind, and are available for use by the faculty and students. This area, located on the main floor of the Hecht House, is used for conferences, faculty meetings, and social gatherings for the College and University.

Located behind the Hecht House is a beautiful formal garden that is often used for receptions and gatherings and for student study breaks. The two-level garden features boxwoods in a circular arrangement, numerous flowers, and a brick walkway. The tiled tables in the garden are the perfect place for lunch or a quiet place to study. The balcony located outside of the French doors on the second floor of the building provides a perfect view of the garden.
