Online Master's: Tuition & Fees

New for Fall 2012
Out-of-State online master's students qualify for reduced market rate tuition.
Beginning Fall 2012 tuition for out-of-state online master's students is $513.34 per credit hour.

Tuition and fees are subject to change yearly. Each August the University Board of Trustees determines tuition and fees for the upcoming academic year. For the most up to date information on tuition and fees, visit the APPS page.

When to pay

Tuition and fees must be paid in full, or have arranged to be paid, by the fee payment deadline. To learn the exact deadline for each semester:

  • Go to: http://registrar.fsu.edu.
  • Choose Academic Calendar and then the appropriate semester.
  • Scroll down and look for the wording: “Last day to pay or defer fees without a $100 late fee.”

Financial Aid

Students who are taking 6 semester hours or more are eligible for financial aid. If you are interested in applying for financial aid, you must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). This form is available online at: http://www.aus.fsu.edu/finaid. “My experiences with the FSU criminology program have been phenomenal. The flexibility the program offers has been beneficial to me on many levels. It allowed me the freedom to take courses on my own time while I was still on Active Duty as a commissioned officer in the U.S. Navy, and I was able to remain enrolled as I transitioned into civilian life.

I have made contacts with peers in the criminal justice community all around the country. From students in Washington State to Florida, there's always an abundance of ideas and varied input in our classes. Aditionally, the skills I learn from the courses help me in my career as an investigator. As I look to promote and advance in my career, a graduate degree from a university as well known as Florida State will undoubtedly assist me.”
