It is understood that the Relgalf Scholarship, a three-year forgiveness educational loan, is to be repaid by the recipient unless the recipient returns to the sponsoring department or obtains employment in a small department. For each year that the recipient serves the department, one-third of the total loan will be forgiven. Therefore, after three years of service to the department, the totality of the loan is forgiven.
